I have just got off the phone to my younger sister and I have to say that I was very shocked indeed when she asked me ‘when should I take a pregnancy test?’. She is only just sixteen years old and in my opinion that is way too young to be having sex, but obviously there was no point in me giving her the big lecture as what is done is done. I am really hoping that she ends up coming back in a few weeks time and telling me that she is not pregnant because she is such a smart girl and has a really promising future, that will be totally ruined by her having a child so early on. I am going to keep my fingers crossed and hope that it is all a false alarm but obviously there are no guarantees and if she ends up getting a positive result on the test she has nobody to blame but herself.
